Thanks to those who “put their money where their mouth is”, we had a comfortably full life drawing session at the Athenaeum on Thursday evening, 17 May. We had sixteen members in all, which is way more than we have had on past evenings.
Nola modeled for us and did a very good job of it. Her lighthearted personality reflected in her poses, which were graceful and natural, though sometimes challenging, forcing us to concentrate and taxing our brains as well as our draughtsmanship.
The drawings and paintings produced were wonderfully varied in style and medium – some firm and focused and others free and experimental. A most worthwhile evening and we look forward to more of the same in the future.
